Organized in 1930, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association (LA FRA) is chartered to aid, assist, and promoter welfare, social and patriotic work for the benefit of the Fleet Reserve Association and their families.
Over 240 LA FRA UNITS are located throughout the United States and overseas. There is also a Membership-at-Large (MAL) roll administered by the LA FRA National Officers for those who do not have access to, of do not wish to join a unit.
Who can be MEMBERS? Members of the Ladies Auxiliary are the wives, mothers, daughters, stepdaughters, sisters, grandmothers, and granddaughters (not less than 16 years of age) of FRA members, and widows of those who were eligible to be members at the time of their death.
Why should I join? The Ladies Auxiliary FRA, affords each member a unique opportunity to assist Sea Service families through social activities and civic projects at the local and national levels.
The LA FRA Unit 29 meets at the same hours as the Branch 29 General Meeting, on the second Tuesday of each month at 1800. If you are interested in joining the LA FRA Unit 29, stop by the Branch 29 Home and pick up an application or you can find one on the FRA Web Site at www.fra.org
