Branch 29 of the Fleet Reserve Association, Bremerton WA
2016 Armed Forces Day Parade
There were 155 entries in this years event, making it the largest event in the
United States for Armed Forces Day.
Members of Branch 29 were proud to host and help represent Puget Sound Honor Flight with
WWII veteran Burke Waldron, 92 years old, who walked the entire parade route.
Even though the day was rainy, cold, and overcast the event was a hit and Branch 29 was well represented in front of numerous high ranked U.S. Navy officials, including U.S. Pacific Fleet Commander Adm. Scott Swift, Parade Grand Marshall.

OUR MISSION AND HISTORY:
FRA Branch 29 has provided 86 years of Loyalty, Protection and Service. FRA 29 was formed on July 18, 1930 and moved to its current location on Veterans Day, November 11, 1968.
Since 1924, the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) has served as the voice of Sea Services enlisted personnel on Capitol Hill. FRA was the first enlisted military association to testify before a U.S. Congressional Committee. Today, FRA is recognized by the Secretary of the Navy to speak before the U.S. Congress on their behalf. In addition, the 1997 Defense Authorization Act granted a Federal Charter to the FRA.
FRA represents the interests of Enlisted and Former Enlisted Active Duty, Reserve, Retired and Veterans Honorably Discharged from the US Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and their families.
