FRA plaque at Ivy Green
On Nov. 4th a brief "Two Bell" ceremony was held at Ivy Green Cemetery to mark the placement of a special bronze marker at the veteran's section with the logo of the FRA. This plaque joins many other commemorative plaques in the veteran's section of Ivy Green.

Branch 29 Annual Picnic
Saturday August 25th, Camp McKean from 1200 to 1700. The Branch will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, condiments and drinks. There is a sign up sheet at the bar. Please sign up so we have an idea of how much food and drink to bring. You can also bring a side dish. Put what you are bringing on the sheet. Also, we need help haul stuff to the park, sign-up at the bar.

Queen of Hearts game at the Branch
Drawing Wednesday at 1800. Rules posted at the Branch. Pot #1, 2 & 3 are topped out at $5,000, Pot #4, is at $3,814.

We have started a D.A.D. (dime a day) fund with all proceeds going to the building fund, the jar is sitting on the bar for anyone who wants to donate.

Volunteers needed
Bremerton Navy Hospital has a need for any volunteers who can assist in transporting our retirees and/or veterans to appointments at the local Navy Hospital and/or appointments @ Madigan Army Hospital in Tacoma.

OUR MISSION AND HISTORY:

FRA Branch 29 has provided over 87 years of Loyalty, Protection and Service. FRA 29 was formed on July 18, 1930 and moved to its current location on Veterans Day, November 11, 1968.

SSN 698Since 1924, the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) has served as the voice of Sea Services enlisted personnel on Capitol Hill. FRA was the first enlisted military association to testify before a U.S. Congressional Committee. Today, FRA is recognized by the Secretary of the Navy to speak before the U.S. Congress on their behalf. In addition, the 1997 Defense Authorization Act granted a Federal Charter to the FRA.

FRA represents the interests of Enlisted and Former Enlisted Active Duty, Reserve, Retired and Veterans Honorably Discharged from the US Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and their families.
